A humble dry cleaner believes he's lucked out when a famous actress agrees to marry him—unaware that he is being used to make her ex-lover jealous. The film was released in two editions: a mute print for silent-only theaters, and a "synchronized" version for sound theaters, accompanied by an orchestra score and sound effects.

Shot on location through Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
