Three vintage borderless reference photographs taken on the set of the 1969 film, two showing director Luis Buñuel fencing, the third showing Buñuel standing with actor Paul Frankeur. Stamp of photographer Michel Ciment on the versos, along with layout annotations in manuscript ink and pencil.
A surrealist adventure about two French vagrants traveling along the Way of St. James, a pilgrimage route from northern Europe to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. Buñuel would later name the film as the first part of a trilogy about "the search for truth," followed by "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (1972) and "The Phantom of Liberty" (1974).
