Two original photographs of Robert F. Kennedy, 1968
Paris: Reporters Associés, 1968. Two vintage borderless oversize photographs of Robert F. Kennedy in Indianapolis during his 1968 presidential campaign, one showing Kennedy alone, the other showing Kennedy giving a victory speech with his wife Ethel and campaign director Mike Riley. Reporters Associés stamps on the verso of one photograph, and credit stamp of photographer André Theves on the verso of the other.
Kennedy won the Indiana primary on May 7 with 42 percent of the vote, and would go on to win the Nebraska primary a week later, on May 14. Less than a month later, after winning both the California and South Dakota primaries, Kennedy was killed by gunman Sirhan Sirhan shortly after concluding a victory speech in a ballroom at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
