From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.

Canadian born Walter Pidgeon was a major leading man during the Golden Age of Hollywood and was twice nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor ( in 1942 for "Mrs. Miniver" and in 1943 for "Madame Curie"). Among the many other notable films Pidgeon starred in between 1926 and 1977 include "How Green Was My Valley" (1941), "The Bad and the Beautiful" (1952), "Forbidden Planet" (1956), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (1961), "Advise and Consent" (1962), and "Funny Girl" (1968).
