A satirical antiwar film depicting the follies of the British Army during the Crimean War, interspersed with animated sequences and opening credits by Richard Williams. The film debuts of Natasha and Joely Richardson, daughters of director Tony Richardson. Nominated for seven BAFTA Awards.

Shot on location in London, Greenwich, and Hampshire in the UK, and in Pecenek, Central Anatolia, Istanbul, and Saraycik, Turkey.

Tall blue wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated 31st March, 1967, with credit for screenwriter Charles Wood. 115 leaves, with last page of text numbered 113. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrappers Very Good plus, bound internally with three silver brads.
