Based on the 1992 novel by P.D. James. In a dystopian world where humans have become infertile, a civil servant agrees to help a mysteriously pregnant woman travel to a remote location in the Azores to have her child. Nominated for three Academy Awards.
Set in London in 2027, shot on location in London, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, and Hampshire, England, in Montevideo, Uruguay, and in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
