From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.

Mary Brodel was an actress who appeared in 21 films from 1936 through 1944, usually in uncredited roles, and appeared in her first role, in the 1936 short "Signing Off," with her actress sisters, Joan Leslie and Betty Brodel, as The Brodel Sisters. Mary Brodel only appeared in two Universal Pictures, both uncredited, the 1938 films
"Reckless Living" and "Goodbye Broadway."
