Scott was invited to Hollywood at the behest of actress Deanna Durbin, who arranged to give him a new dog after reading of his dog's death in the newspaper.

A small-town singer falls in love with a city playboy on a train to New York, only for him to ignore her as soon as the train pulls into the station. Days later, after gaining a job as a nightclub singer, she is propositioned by the playboy's brother.

From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.
