Both shot by photographer Ray Jones circa 1930, with mimeo snipes on the versos.
From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.
Marsh first appeared in films in the 1910s as a child actress, often cast alongside actress Mary Pickford. She enjoyed a nine-year hiatus after 1921, but returned to Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s as a contract player with MGM, most notably appearing in "Anna Karenina" (1933), "Charlie Chan on Broadway" (1937), and "Road to Zanzibar" (1941).
Merna Kennedy began her career as a vaudeville child performer at the age of seven with her brother, and began her career in film at the age of 20, starring opposite Charlie Chaplin in his 1928 film "The Circus." Kennedy appeared in 28 films from 1928 to 1934 before retiring from acting, and was briefly married to choreographer/director Busby Berkeley from 1934-1935.
Helen Wright had a brief career in Hollywood, appearing in only two films in 1930: "Dames Ahoy" and "Spurs."
