Two vintage double weight publicity photographs of Joseph Schildkraut at his home, one featuring his then wife, Elise Bartlett, by photographer Ray Jones, 1929, each with mimeo snipes, studio stamps crediting photographer Jones, and "1929" date stamps on the versos, and one with an additional provenance and collation stamp on the verso.

From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s.

Austrian-American actor Joseph Schildkraut appeared in 66 films from 1915 to 1965, and is best known for his Academy Award-winning performance in "The Life of Emile Zola" (1937) and as Otto Frank in "The Diary of Anne Frank" (1959). Schildkraut was married to actress stage and screen actress Elise Bartlett from 1923 to 1930.
