Kenneth Anger (subject)

N.p. N.p., Circa 1965. Vintage portrait photograph of noted experimental filmmaker Kenneth Anger, circa 1965.

Anger, one of the most significant filmmakers to come out of the American avant-garde in the mid-1960s, was born in Southern California and began making films when he was only ten years old. His work often prominently featured homosexual themes, paired with the surreal and occult, and he is today considered to have been one of the first directors to address homosexuality in an undisguised manner.

8.5 x 11 inches. Near Fine, with a light diagonal crease at the top left corner.
