A wealthy Jewish doctor and his wife who cannot have children decide to pretend that the wife is pregnant while secretly hiring a surrogate, but bump up against trouble when they realize the child will not be born Jewish.

Gray tall wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, with credit for screenwriter Barbara Jago, noted as First Draft, undated. 129 leaves, with last page of text numbered 128. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two silver brads.
