Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
N.p. N.p., 1972. Early Draft script for the 1974 film, file copy belonging to director Sam Peckinpah. Dated July 8, 1972, over a year before production commenced, and notably featuring the original ending with Bennie getting away—in true Peckinpah fashion, the director would later rewrite the ending to show Bennie dying in a shootout. With Peckinpah's brief annotations in manuscript ink on the title page and two leaves of the script.
Warren Oates stars as Bennie, a bartender who travels through the Mexican underworld, accompanied by his sex worker girlfriend, to collect the bounty on the head of a gigolo. The only Peckinpah film not re-cut by the studio.
Shot on location in Mexico.
