An elderly professor travels with his assistant to Transylvania, looking for vampires. During his trip, the assistant falls in love with the daughter of an inn keeper, who has recently caught the eye of the vampiric Count von Krolock.

Sharon Tate would star the same year in Mark Robson's "Valley of the Dolls," just two years before her violent death at the hands of the Manson Family in 1969.
