Two original oversize photographs of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, 1969

N.p. N.p., Circa 1969. Two vintage oversize press photographs of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in March of 1969, several days after their marriage. Stamp of photographer Claude Schwartz on the versos.

Ono and Lennon chartered a plane from Paris to Gibraltar on March 20, 1969, and were married on the same day, in a brief ceremony at the British Consulate Office, headed by registrar Cecil Wheeler. Lennon drew a ring onto Ono's finger during the ceremony, as her real ring was at that time being resized, and the couple flew back to Paris the same day.

One photograph 8 x 12 inches, the other 8.5 x 10.5 inches. Very Good plus, moderately worn on the corners.
