A sitcom about the Clampetts, a backwoods Ozark family who strike it rich and decide to move to Beverly Hills, appalling their wealthy neighbors with their unsophisticated ways. Although the show initially garnered poor reviews from contemporary critics, the series became the number one program in the US, reaching the top of the Nielsen ratings shortly after its premiere.
