Morris won the 1956 Miss USA contest and would go on to win the 1956 Miss Universe beauty pageant, becoming the second American contestant to win the title. The award came with a yearlong acting contract with Universal, and she made her film debut in "Crazy Love," alongside Jeff Chandler.
