Berlin: Bakros International, 1959. Four vintage studio still photographs from the US release of the 1957 West German film.

Based on the 1937 novel by Gábor Vaszary. In Paris, a Hungarian artist falls in love with a girl who claims to have come from a wealthy background, only to later discover that she's made up her past in order to impress him. An early performance by actress Romy Schneider, released only a year after her breakthrough performance in "Sissi—The Young Empress" (1956).

Shot on location in Paris.
