Nicholson smiling with noted science fiction editor and enthusiast Forrest J. Ackerman and a werewolf sporting a smart leather jacket. Printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso notes the photograph as having been taken on the set of American International's 1964 film "Bikini Beach."

Ackerman appeared in over 200 films, largely science fiction and monster B-movies, throughout the late twentieth century. In 1964, he appeared in a bit part (as "the square-frame technician") in American International's 1964 science fiction film "The Time Travelers."
