A scientist's attempts to transform lead into gold attract the attention of a shady British industrialist. An attempt to capitalize on the success of previous science fiction films "Metropolis" (1927) and "The Tunnel" (1933), and the only science fiction film made while UFA was under the control of the Third Reich.

Shot on location in Kiel, Germany.

8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, slightly wavy at the top edge, and moderately worn on the bottom and right edges.
