Merry X-Mas from The Slugs
Chicago: N.p., 1987. Vintage Christmas postcard sent in December of 1987 by The Slugs, with several inscriptions on the verso: "Ho Ho Ho / Mikey," "Hi Neighbor," and "I just bought neawx shoeux's." Additionally SIGNED by the band members (Mike Halston, Gregg Juhlin, and Dag Juhlin) on the recto.
The Slugs was a power pop and rock band founded in Park Ridge, Illinois, in the 1980s. Heavily influenced by bands such as XTC and The Who, the group released their first single, "Walking in Circles/Give Me a Sunday," in 1986 on Susstones Records, and their first album "Non-Stop Holiday," on Pravda Records in 1988.
