A 14-page contract, dated January 7, 1966, with sections titled: "Wage Minimums and Working Conditions (New York City)", "Section 2," and "NABET Application for Membership." Also included is an "Instructions for 'Application for Membership'" form. All documents circa 1966.
NABET, Local 15 of New York City, was organized largely by television production craft workers in 1965, the year prior to the application found here. During the 1970s, NABET, Local 15 experienced an explosion in membership rolls due to increasing work on feature films. In 1990, following competition that developed over the prior decade between NABET and the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), NABET, Local 15's charter was revoked and the Local's membership voted to join IATSE.
