Isabel Jewell made her screen debut in 1932, in the pre-Code comedy "Blessed Event." She appeared in a variety of films throughout the 1930s, including "A Tale of Two Cities" (1935), and, perhaps most notably, "Gone with the Wind" (1939). Her Hollywood career faded by the 1940s, and by the 1960s she had largely retired to television acting.
