Richard Linklater's classic coming-of-age comedy, a follow-up to his breakout independent film "Slacker" (1990), following the students at a high school in East Texas in 1976, on the last day of classes before summer break. The film was a box-office disappointment, but has since been reevaluated, and is today considered a cult classic.

Shot on location in Austin, Texas.
