Flavor Tale [Once Upon a Poor Boy]

A modern take on "Cinderella," about an unpopular African-American teenager who is helped out by his "Funky Freshfather," a magical being sent to help the boy get ready for the school formal. Screenwriter Tyger Williams wrote the screenplay for "Menace 2 Society" (1993), and continues to write prolifically for television.
