Santa Monica: RKO Radio Pictures, 1947. Three vintage linen-backed reference photographs of director George Stevens on the set of the 1948 film, one showing Stevens examining a poster advertisement, one showing Stevens with actors Barbara Bel Geddes and Irene Dunne on location in San Francisco, and one showing Stevens directing a scene with Dunne, Oskar Homolka, and Barbara O'Neill. Two with printed mimeo snipes affixed to the verso.

Based on the 1944 play by John Van Druten, which was in turn, based on the 1943 novel "Mama's Bank Account" by Kathryn Forbes. Young Norwegian immigrant Katrin Hanson chronicles the lives of herself, her three siblings and her parents in turn of the century San Francisco. Nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Cinematography.

Shot on location in San Francisco, California.
