New York: Columbia Broadcasting System [CBS], 1962. Vintage borderless oversize publicity photograph of writer and poet Carl Sandburg in a courtroom in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, taken to promote CBS' 1962 television feature "Carl Sandburg: Lincoln's Prairie Years." Partial mimeo snipe on the verso along with the label of Pictorial Parade agency.

The special featured Sandburg visiting locations in Illinois and discussing Lincoln's early life as a lawyer and politician. Sandburg was the preeminent Lincoln biographer of the twentieth century, and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1940 for his 1939 four-volume biography "Abraham Lincoln: The War Years."
