Capote made two recordings in the 1950s for Columbia Records: his 1948 short story, "Children on Their Birthdays," in 1953, and his 1950 short story, "House of Flowers," in 1955. He would go on to record an excerpt from "Breakfast at Tiffany's" in 1963, at the 92nd Street Y's Poetry Center.
