In 1925, the captain of a failing professional football team convinces Princeton's top football player, decorated World War I veteran, to join the team. Loosely based on the true story of early football player Johnny "Blood" McNally.

Shot on location in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and in upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina.
