An epic drama set in Ancient Egypt, about the construction of the Great Pyramid, co-written by William Faulkner. Although poorly received upon release—and notable as Howard Hawks' first commercial failure—the film has since been reevaluated by a host of critics, including Jonathan Rosenbaum, who praised the film for its continued relevance in relation to contemporary politics.

Shot on location in Egypt.
