New York: McBride, 1938. First Edition. A hardboiled, hardscrabble novel that moves through Oklahoma, Texas, and on to Southern California. Today considered a high spot of twentieth century proletarian noir fiction.

Some fading to the topstain, tiny owner name stamp on the front endpaper underneath the front jacket flap. All told About Fine and unread in a Very Good dust jacket. Jacket with some fading and a tiny splashes to the spine, light chipping at the spine ends and extremities. A solid example of a difficult book to find even in this condition.
