Swiss composer, musician, and educator Émile Jaques-Dalcroze first began developing Dalcroze eurhythmics at the Geneva Conservatory in 1892. The approach merged musical rhythm, structure, and expression with movement. His work influenced numerous musical pedagogies, including the Kodály method, Orff Schulwerk, and the Suzuki Method.
