A shy classics professor is tricked into believing he has won $750,000. Boarding a train for New York City, the professor promptly falls in love with a dancer from a backwater town, and agrees to fund their show's turn on Broadway. The first of three films to co-star Keaton and actor Jimmy Durante, followed by "The Passionate Plumber" (1932) and "What! No Beer?" (1933).
