During World War I, a wealthy, idle young man joins the US Army's Rainbow Division, and is sent to France to fight, where he befriends two working class men, is hardened by the horrors of war, and falls in love with a French woman. Notable for its realistic depiction of trench warfare, a predecessor to Lewis Milestone's epic antiwar film "All Quiet on the Western Front" (1930).

9.5 x 7.25 inches. Very Good plus, one with a small chip at the top right corner, two with a chip at the bottom left, and one with ink residue affecting the left edge of the recto.
