The Duncan sisters were best known for their "Topsy and Eva" comedy vaudeville act, featuring Rosetta in blackface, derived from Harriet Beecher Stowe's "Uncle Tom's Cabin." The act would be adapted for film in 1927, directed by Del Lord and D.W. Griffith.
