A collection of poetry written by noted Russian modernist poet and writer Osip Mandelstam. Mandelstam was an outspoken critic of state censorship under Stalin, and ultimately died on the way to the Gulag, in December of 1938, three weeks before his 48th birthday.

Near Fine with custom collaged boards, with nine wrappers from "White Sea Canal" brand cigarettes affixed to the front board as issued. Housed in a lightly toned, Near Fine slipcase with lithograph decorations.
