Shame [Skammen]

Stockholm: European Pressphoto Agencies Union, 1967. Vintage borderless oversize reference photograph from the 1968 film, showing actress Liv Ullmann and director Ingmar Bergman on the set. Importantly (and as noted on the verso snipe), this photograph was Bergman introducing "his special find from Norway" to the world. Ullmann would go on to become the most frequently associated actor in Bergman's films.

Two former violinists are caught up in the trauma of civil war despite their desire to live simply on their farm on a rural island in Sweden. Ullmann's third film with director Ingmar Bergman, following "Persona" (1966) and "Hour of the Wolf" (1968).
