A dramatization of the early days of the US space program, focusing on the Mercury Seven astronauts selected for the first American human flight into space. Based on the 1979 book by Tom Wolfe, and basis for a documentary film and a television series, both released in 2020. Nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning four.

Title page present, undated, noted as Second Draft, with credits for Wolfe and screenwriter Philip Kaufman. 121 leaves, with last page of text numbered 120. Early Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, binder Very Good, title page detached from the binding and lightly foxed.
