The photographs include seven of pieces by Pablo Picasso, one of a landscape by Henri Matisse, and one of the verso of a painting by Juan Gris for the Buchholz Gallery.

Studly was a noted photographer of Swiss decent, who lived and worked in New York City, and is best known for his gallery and installation photographs of modern art for various noted New York galleries and the Museum of Modern Art.
