The Walking Stick

London: Collins, 1967. Presentation Copy, INSCRIBED in 1969 by author Winston Graham to actress Samantha Eggar, who starred in the 1970 film adaptation. Inscription reads: "Dear Samantha / I thought you might like to have a special copy of this book as a memento of what I believe is going to be a highly successful film. Saw a rough cut recently and you were marvellous [sic] in it / Winston / 30.8.69." With one of Graham's calling cards laid in, with an additional note in his hand on the verso, reading, "And thank you very much for the signed photograph."

Basis for the 1970 crime thriller directed by Eric Till, starring Eggar and David Hemmings.

Near Fine, bound in full red leather, with marbled endpapers and a ribbon bookmark, and gilt titles and rule.
