Steamboat Bill, Jr. [Junior]
Beverly Hills, CA: United Artists, 1928. Vintage studio still photograph from the 1928 silent film, an amazing shot showing crowds of onlookers gathering at the harbor to welcome a steamer ship.
The effete son of a hardened steamer captain falls in love with the daughter of his father's rival. Keaton's last independent film made under his creative control, before his move to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer later in the year. The film is perhaps best remembered today for Keaton's most famous stunt, in which the facade of a house falls down around him, while he avoids being flattened by inadvertently standing underneath an open window.
8 x 10 inches. Very Good, with three pinholes to the margins, and a diagonal chip to the top left corner.
