The Five Heartbeats
N.p. N.p., 1990. Shooting script for the 1991 film musical.
A drama about the rise and fall of fictional rhythm and blues group The Five Heartbeats, told through one of the group's members, Donald "Duck" Matthews. Loosely based on the trajectories of several real-life musical groups, including The Dells, The Temptations, Four Tops, and others. Although received to mixed reviews, the film has since been reconsidered as a cult classic.
