Suspense: Zero Hour

New York: Columbia Broadcasting System [CBS], Circa 1958. Vintage script for the 1958 radio adaptation of Ray Bradbury's short story "Zero Hour," broadcast as part of the popular 1940-1962 anthology series "Suspense." Originally aired on May 18, 1958, on CBS Radio.

Bradbury's story, concerning an alien invasion facilitated using human children, was first published in "Planet Stories" magazine in fall of 1947, and was later included in his 1951 story collection "The Illustrated Man." The story was initially adapted for radio in 1953, on the anthology series "Escape," and again two years later, on "Suspense," starring Isa Ashdown. Finally, the story was broadcast again on "Suspense" in 1958, starring Evelyn Rudie.
