N.p. N.p., 1971-1972. A small archive of personal ephemera regarding Kris Kristofferson, belonging to his then-romantic partner, British actress Samantha Eggar, circa 1971-1972. Included is an original vernacular photograph of Kristofferson with a William Blake poem INSCRIBED by Kristofferson in the margins of the photograph that concludes on the verso.

Kristofferson and Eggar dated briefly in 1970-1971 after Eggar's acrimonious separation from her husband Tom Stern. Kristofferson met his second wife, singer/songwriter Rita Coolidge, according to Collidge's 2016 autobiography, "Delta Lady: A Memoir," on a plane from LA to Memphis the day after Eggar and Kristofferson broke up.

The original vernacular photograph of Kristofferson, circa 1971, of him shirtless and shoeless playing his guitar on the edge of a patio overlooking a pastoral landscape, includes an obscure William Blake poem in Kristofferson's hand in the margins and concluded on the verso (the poem was first published posthumously in Alexander Gilchrist's 1863 publication "The Life of William Blake, 'Pictor Ignotus'" Volume II, as poem XVIII under "Couplets and Fragments"), "Oh [O] Lapwing, thou fliest around [across] the heath / nor seest the net that is spread beneath. [:] / Why dost thou not fly around the corn fields? / They cannot spread nets where a harvest yields."

Two typed letters signed to Eggar from Loretta King of Bert Block Management (Kristofferson's management agency) on "Bert Block Management" letterhead, regarding Kristofferson's schedule, dated June 30, 1971 and July 12, 1971 respectively, each with two pages of Kristofferson's itineraries.

A three-page autograph letter signed from jazz pianist and vocalist Barbara Carroll, then touring with Kristofferson and his band, on "Playboy Club and Hotels" letterhead, dated April 20, 1972, much regarding Kristofferson. Including a postmarked "Playboy Club and Hotels" envelope addressed to Eggar.

A page fragment of undated notes in Eggar's hand of what appears to be an astrological or numerology reading, likely of Kristofferson, with "Writer · Poet · Harmony" written near the top, circa 1971.
