Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1950. Vintage reference studio still photograph of Judy Garland from the 1950 film, with a mimeo snipe printed on the verso.
New England farmer Jane Falbury (Garland) allows a group of actors to use her barn as theater for their play, in exchange for helping with farm chores, as a favor to her actress sister Abigail (Gloria DeHaven), but soon finds herself falling for the show's director and Abigail's fiancé, Joe Ross (Gene Kelly).
Garland's last completed film for MGM and her last on-screen pairing with Gene Kelly. Beset with problems, the production began shortly after Garland finished three months in recovery from drug addition and was plagued with delays, largely due to Garland's unreliability and health problems.
Shot on location in Los Angeles, California.
10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with light edgewear and faint creasing.
